The fan actually looks pretty decent, with the blades diffusing the white light, making the fans look as if they are electrified. With this being a budget offering, it probably wasn’t feasible for Cooler Master to implement that here. With the patented CDC technology, the heatpipes form a continuous surface without the gaps you see here. Cooler Master has already perfected the Direct Contact technology, and named it Continuous Direct Contact (CDC). This is in contrast to conventional designs where heat has to be conducted through a copper contact plate, before it is transferred to the heatpipes to be carried into the heatsink array. The heatpipes on the Cooler Master Hyper H411R directly contact the integrated heatspreader (IHS) of your CPU to wick heat away as efficiently as possible. Fins packed too densely would adversely affect airflow, and thus cooling performance. The fins are spaced out pretty nicely, which might have been necessary given the smaller fan. The fan clips feature rubber pads on the inner surface, preventing vibration from the fan from generating noise.Ĭooler Master claims that this is a special fin design to channel air flow towards the heatpipes, for optimal cooling. Then again, the Hyper 103 which it succeeds doesn’t offer support for a second fan either. It looks like a wasted opportunity to get better performance without much added cost. Note the asymmetrical shape, cutting off any support for a second fan. The fins are shaped to direct airflow towards the heatpipes, for faster cooling. How high are you guys OCing your evga SC 560s? I am pretty disappointed with how hot and consequently loud this card gets and im seriously considering exchanging it for a MSI twin frozr with 2x fans if I can't find a solution to this.The Cooler Master Hyper H411R is a throwback to the good ol’ days before RGB is a must in all PC hardware to be relevant. The evga GTS 250 sitting in the same pcie 2.0 16x slot never had these problems. I love EVGA cards, but this one seems a bit oddly put together in comparison to what I have grown to expect from EVGA. To put it simply, everything in my tower is always below 45 degrees except when I am stress testing my cpu with intel burn test. My CPU is core2duo E8500 E0 overclocked to 4.2ghz at stock voltages and only vcore compensated for Vdroop, 100% stable.34idle, 50load. This card replaced a EVGA GTS 250 1gig, which was at STOCK fan settings 40 idle, and 65 load.īefore you start thinking this high temperature is my own fault, let me tell you that my tower is air cooled by 6 aftermarket high output fans. Using the loud fan, I am able to keep idle temps at 45ish and load at 65-70. It is impossible for me to run this card at stock fans, otherwise it just climbs into 50 something idle and 80-90 load. I am forced to load MSI afterburner at startup to use the default user defined fan curve that comes with the program. The performance is good but my biggest problem with this card is the awful cooling, which results in a awfully noisy fan speed. Recently picked this card up, been doing lots of testing at stock values.
